The Microsoft founder-turned-global health philanthropist [Bill Gates] discusses ways to tackle climate change in his new book, 揌ow to Avoid a Climate Disaster: The Solutions We Have and the Breakthroughs We Need,? which hit shelves on [February 16]. And among his calls to action: switching to synthetic beef to reduce methane emissions, aka the gases that cattle and sheep release when they belch or pass gas.
Many readers on Twitter aren抰 ready to completely give up their burgers and steaks just yet. So this led to Gates?trending on Twitter on [February 16] as critics chewed him out.

The second wealthiest man in the world wants to destroy the cattle industry and have us all eating fake beef! Why? To save the planet from cow farts of course.
And of we won't do it voluntarily, Bill Gates wants to force us through Government regulation.
揑 do think all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef,?he said.
揧ou can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they抮e going to make it taste even better over time. Eventually, that green premium is modest enough that you can sort of change the [behavior of] people or use regulation to totally shift the demand.?/p>
