NPPC Working For More Pork Access Into The Philippines

There is an extreme shortage of pork in the Philippines and that has compelled their government to look at expanding the quota for pork imports. National Pork Producers Council抯 Director of International Affairs Maria Zieba says they抳e been in discussions with Philippines officials and are glad to see this move to allow more U.S. pork in.
She says there抯 a lot of pork consumed in the Philippines and having increased quotas and less tariffs is a positive development for America抯 pork producers.
Zieba says NPPC is working to gains markets for U.S. pork in more Pacific Rim countries and also wants to rejoin the TPP now known as the CPTPP trade pact...
